Old Scratch and the Necrophonic Orchestra

Old Scratch and the Necrophonic Orchestra is an occultcore hip-hop project spearheaded by Reverend Scratch. Debuting in 2005, with the first album – Spookshow – coming out on 6/6/06, Scratch made the rounds in the Southern California underground hip-hop scene and was featured on Psychopathic Records inaugural “Battle Dome” contest. Music from the project was also featured on Heartland Wrestling Association’s television product.

In the early 2010s, Scratch was shunted into a Hell Dimension and was not heard from for some time. He emerged again in 2018 at the Slave to the Death Match tournament, where he managed and spiritually guided death match maniac JD Horror to victory. He then reappeared as the commissioner for Cen-Cal Professional Wrestling, where he also debuted some new tracks from an album that he has been quietly working on for a number of years. (It’s hard to record an album in a Hell Dimension, especially when Cyberdemons keep screwing with your tech.)

Scratch has now aligned himself with Thoth Media, and will be finishing his first release in a decade and a half, in our studio. Old Scratch and the Necrophonic Orchestra Presents: Illuminator is slated for a mid-2021 release. Better late than never!
